You're invited to Belmont's Evening of Dance, Thursday February 2nd at 7:00pm in the North Gym. Tickets are by donation. Come out for a sneak peak at what the Belmont Dancers have been working on this semester!

Belmont Athletes - Your official team photos will be on Thursday Feb. 16th at 2:30 PM.  Please bring your uniform.

Are you interested in learning about what firefighters do?  The Jr. Firefighters for a Day program may be for you!  For more information and sign up come to the Career Centre.

GRAD 2012 WINTER FORMAL - Belmont will hold it's annual Grad Winter Formal (Dinner and Dance) at Belmont Secondary School on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Cost $35.00. Tickets will go on TODAY AT LUNCH IN THE FRONT FOYER. This is a Belmont Grad 2012 event for grade 12's only, no guests.

Teen volunteers are needed to help kids practice reading, older adult with new technologies and advise the Greater Victoria Library on all things teens through the Youth Advisory Council  (YAC)  For more information see a career coordinator in the Career Centre.

Any students interested in participating in a three month exchange program to Quebec in the spring of 2013 should come to a meeting room 239 Wednesday January 18th at lunch.

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the end of the first semester, I want to update you on report cards and final marks for courses. As you may be aware the BC Teacher Federation is still involved in Job Action. Teachers are not required to provide letter grades for students unless they are in Grade 12 and either; graduating in January 2012, applying for scholarships, or applying for a post secondary program (college, university, technical school) prior to June 30, 2012.

If your child requires official marks from their teachers based on one of the three situations that trigger official marks being submitted. Please do the following:

1)    Complete and return the form (below) to the office

2)    Contact your student’s teacher to request official final marks ASAP. (students may notify teachers) Contact information - http://belmont.sd62.bc.ca/

All other students may request final school marks from individual teachers, but the marks will not be placed on a report card or submitted to the office. Students may ask their teachers in person or parents may contact teachers by email or phone to request marks.
