Dear Families,

We would like to update you on our timetable preparations for the coming year. We have seen, and received emails from, hundreds of students this week and Belmont Counsellors have worked diligently to ensure that we do the best we can to meet the program needs of each student. I would like to thank our counsellors and front office staff for putting in an extraordinary effort this week.

We would like to remind you that we will be closed for course changes today (Friday August 28th). We will be accepting registration paperwork.  Counsellors will resume meeting with students on a first-come, first served basis on Monday. Our office hours next week will be:

Monday, Aug. 31 – Wednesday, Sept. 2 :  9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. We will be closed September 3rd and 4th

2 0 This Week in the Dog House – August 24 to September 4

We have shifted up a gear in getting ready for September 8th! 

On August 13th, we mailed out student timetables with instructions on how to make changes.  We are open for timetable adjustments and new registrations from August 25th to September 2nd (counsellors will not be meeting with students Friday, August 28).  This will be at the old Belmont school.   All these services are out of the main office and not the counselling area.  

  • Main office open from 9am to 3:30 for Belmont support
  • The location is at the old school 3067 Jacklin Road
  • Open August 25th until September 2nd

Check out the Belmont Website Daily Announcements and the Career Centre Information for the many volunteer opportunities available to students.  Volunteer hours can be used for the required grad transitions hours.

Grads: ***** We are now accepting Baby photos in the office for the Grad Slide Show, please bring your baby photos in ASAP.

Grads: Reminder, Prom tickets are available for pick up this week only in the front foyer at lunch, if you are attending Safe Grad as well please bring your change of clothes for that evening.

Have you checked out Semester Two – Term 3 Honour Roll Board, If your name is on that list and you have not received your certificate as of yet, please come down to the front office today.

Some Grade 12’s still have not completed their Grad Transitions.  Grad Transitions is mandatory for graduation. Yes, you need to complete Grad Transitions to graduate.

Any staff and students who have ordered Saying Goodbye to Belmont Commemorative clothing that was on backorder, your orders are now in and can be picked up at the main office.  Thank you for your patience!

Belmont will be offering FoodSafe Level 1 for students on Tuesday, June 23rd from 8:30am to 3:30pm in room 215.  The cost is $50.00.  Please pay at the office to reserve a seat.

Career Centre Information

Volunteer Opportunities available at the UVIC Science Venture Camp 2015. If you are passionate about science and like to have fun, The Science Venture is recruiting for volunteer Junior Counsellor positions. This position is for students in grades 10-12. The date is July and August from 9:00- 4:00 Mon-Fri and you must commit to one week. Training will take place the last week of June, Please come to the Career Centre for more information.
