Belmont Grade 12 students, All of the Belmont Scholarship Applications for students continuing into post-secondary are available in the Career Centre. The deadline for receiving completed applications is April 30th at 2:00 pm in the Counselling office. There are individual scholarships, the Belmont general scholarships and of course the Dogwood District Authority Awards. You can see your counsellor for help. All you need to do is apply to have a chance of receiving free money. Don’t delay!! Get down to the career centre and get your applications.

Dockyard has just announced their Secondary School Apprenticeship positions for the summer. The positions are for the following trades
Various Metal Trades(e.g., Metal Fabrication, Sheet Metal & Welding), Various Hull Trades (e.g., Shipwright/Joiner, Painter), Marine Electrician and Weapons Electrician.
Please pick up applications and a Summary of Duties for each trade in the Career Centre. Application Deadline: Friday, April 25, 2014.
Are you interested in spending the day learning about the science of flight followed by a 20 minute flight?
This free program is on Saturday, May 31st for students ages 8 to 17 at the Victoria International Airport. Please go to the Career Centre for more information and information on signing up.
CFB Esquimalt has food service job opportunities for the summer in their various galleys throughout Base Foods. The job entails preparing, presenting and delivering food including lunches, sandwiches and dinners, cleaning and operating food service facilities and equipment and operating a cash register.

They are looking for volunteers to help with the “set up:, sound system and “take down” for August 3rd and 4th Langford City Centre Park. Are you interested in volunteering for the Times Colonist Half Marathon on Sunday, April 27, 2014 as a Volunteer Marshall? Volunteer Marshalls are responsible for directing marathon runners in the right direction. Each shift is approximately four hours. If you are interested in volunteering please sign up in the Career Centre.
